Tumbarumba Rodeo
The Tumbarumba rodeo is held annually on New Years Day.
It has a history of over 60 years, and has traditionally been a fund raiser for the hospital. In the early days, cattle and horses were brought in from the mountains by the local cattlemen, and events were fiercely contested by local and regional riders.
Today rodeo is a professional sport, and riders come to tumbarumba from all over Australia. It's not only bull rides and bucking horses; it includes events such as barrel racing and team roping for skilled riders and well trained horses.
Sideshows, food stalls, bar and other stalls.
