Stockhorse Events
The Tumbarumba and Jingellic Shows include stockhorse classes and events
designed to test the skills of stockmen and women. The Stockman's Challenge at
the Tumbarumba show is an event gaining in popularity as it provides the
opportunity for a fun competition for horse riders from 10 years old up, who
are not necessarily professional competitors. It includes tests of the horse's
manoeuvrability, the rider's skill at whipcracking, some jumping, and various
other activities, but above all it is a gauge of the partnership between horse
and rider.
