While Tumbarumba may give the impression of a quiet country town, every now and then life is life is spiced up a bit with festivals, events, rodeos and shows.

Come and join the celebrations of music, food, wine and culture at TumbaFest, as well as the exciting New Year's Day Rodeo and the Tumbarumba Gold Cup Races. The Lions Charity Trail Ride attracts riders from all over the country to enjoy a weekend of bush riding and catered meals.

Khancoban, at the south end of the shire annually hosts the exciting Upper Murray Challenge in October, and for the fishing enthusiast, the week long TroutFest in November.

Boggy Creek Shows provide two hours of varied aspects of rural life, including mustering, whip cracking, shearing, Australian working kelpies, horsemanship, with some light hearted entertainment thrown in.
